Celebrating Europe Day

The 9th of May, our department organised some activities to celebrate Europe Day.
All the activities were conducted by 1st Bachillerato students, who are Junior Ambassadors of the European Parliament.
The central activity of the day was an event in the School’s assembly hall, attended by all ESO students, in which they were briefly introduced to the history and functioning of the EU, and participated through some Kahoots. To close the event, all the students, standing up, listened to the European anthem.
In the afternoon, 1st and 2nd ESO students participated in four different workshops.
We were glad to see the students learnt and had fun with all the activities of this celebration.
Thanks a lot to all who made it possible and HAPPY BIRTHDAY E.U!!

Distinguished figures from the European Union

Our students from 2ª ESO have been working on their contributions to the European Ambassador School Programme. They have been researching distinguished figures from the European Union who have contributed significantly to their home nations and to the growth of the world.
Students have been conducting research about their figures’ backgrounds and lives and have specified why they have chosen them, explaining how their figure has helped the country they’re from and the global impact they have had. Students, in groups, have taken all the information they have gathered and have transposed it onto posters which they have put up on the European Ambassador Program Display.
Here are some pictures of the students preparing the display, putting their final projects next to the flag of the country their figure is from.
Congratulations to all of these students. They have worked very hard and have learned new, important information about some of the most significant individuals from countries spanning the European Union.
